Yesterday, I got the horrible news. The news that I’d been trying to prevent since March, a court date has been set for my eviction summons on the 17th. I am terrified to say the least. I don’t know what is going to happen. I only know that I need to get me and my family to safety. We need to leave California asap! But in oder to do that, we need money.
I have started a Ko-FI campaign to raise 10K to get to an affordable neighborhood in the PNW. Why 10K?
2K for the moving truck
4 to 6K for deposit, first and last month with a landlord
The rest is for food and gas and maybe a night of rest in a motel, if need be.
I honestly, don’t know if 10K will be enough to help us but I am doing my best to make it work.
I do have a workman’s comp settlement that I won against Amazon for putting me in this financial crisis and housing crisis. However, the check won’t get here to at least 30, 60 or even 90m days! So I can’t put all my eggs in that basket. If I wait for that, I will most likely end up homeless!
