You see the viral videos on Instagram or TikTok. Signs that Mother Lilith is calling you. Or you see videos telling you not to work with her because she’s evil, demonic or expects too much of you, or is too dark, too intense, etc. I recently had a client share that creators online were saying that she would punish you if you wanted to work with her but you didn’t fulfill a certain criteria? Like huh?
Lilith is divine darkness but most importantly she is the embodiment of not only female empowerment but most importantly, sovereignty. So although it is true that she won’t stand by and watch you be a door mat in your life. She is also the best goddess to work with if you’re ready to truly unleash your wild and feral, feminine power. She will guide you and take you to deepest, darkest depths of your psyche and shadow to reclaim your sovereignty and power.
It is not a path for the meek, for she will take you deep but it will be for your ultimate power and growth. And even better, she will do it out of love. It may not be the nice, soft love we’d want at times, but it is her fiery way of showing you love that will warm your heart in different ways. What you will also find is that is if she is calling you, there is a reason. It is usually a subconscious, even an unconscious one but there’s a reason. You may already have aspects of her within you that you have snuffed out to keep yourself safe in this toxic, patriarchal world. Or you may think you’ve overcome all your patriarchal conditioning only to find there’s more work to do, in order to fulfill your true liberation.
At first I thought that Lilith had shown up in my life because I finally had gotten snakes! But after working with her for three years now, I finally see that she was trying to help me heal my witch wound (I’ll go into that more at another time). I was terrified of putting myself out in the world as a Witch, and I was also still placating the patriarchy in small ways for my own survival. To say the least, I didn’t listen.
Over a year ago, Lilith and Hecate (whom I’ve worked with for over 20 years) said it was time for me to leave Vegas and move to San Diego. I was not happy about it, I told them I’d rather go to the PNW. That didn’t matter for they told me, “It’s not what you want, but what you need”. So to San Diego I left, hoping for a fresh start and a more magical life.
Well, I got the magic part, I evolved from a Witch and indie artist to a Priestess, but I had no idea that I was about to go through the roughest initiation into sovereignty ever! Amazon denied my medical accommodation and because I refused to settle and continue working and therefore further injure my back: I got put on an unpaid leave. That started a domino effect of my husband also getting let go and us falling two months behind on rent. Now fighting an eviction summons and working to finally move to the PNW!
By choosing Sovereignty over being a corporate slave, I became exiled from the system like Lilith. I am leaving the garden to go live in the forests and woods of the PNW. I am choosing the wild. During these excruciating times, Lilith has been guiding me along the way. Reminding me that my sovereignty is more precious than working for an abusive employer and that in the end it will be all worth it.
Lilith went through hell and got called a demon for choosing her self -worth over a man who didn’t value her. I am going through the risk of homelessness for choosing my own self worth over this corrupt system that refuses to help you, until you’re living on the streets. She has given me the strength and conviction to look this corrupt system in the face and refuse to let it break me! And she can do the same for you, if you let her.
